Enerven hosts some very special Port Power fans
The Employee Foundation recently reached out to four families from the Childhood Cancer Association to give them an exclusive experience at the footy.
The families were invited into Enerven’s Corporate Box at Adelaide Oval for Port Power vs Brisbane Lions.
The families were thrilled with the experience and enjoyed the hospitality in a space that was safe for kids who are immunocompromised. It was also great to be able to offer this experience to the entire family, rather than just a couple of family members, which can often occur.
The biggest highlight of the afternoon by far though, was a visit from Thunda, the Port Power mascot who had hugs for everyone.
One of the families sent us the following email after the game
“We had an amazing time at the game and the corporate box was an absolute treat. We felt so spoiled, and a little in awe of the experience. We had so much fun, created more memories and was able to capture them with heaps of photos. I loved how everyone was so friendly and patient with my children too it means so much. Having Thunda power visit was such a highlight.
A big thank you to Zoe and Vicki for their generosity in donating the corporate box. One of the great things about it was it was fun!! A day full of distraction and fun for a family which is full of worry and anxiety about the future. So, from the bottom of my heart I can’t say thank you enough"
The Employee Foundation was established to enable our employees and their family and friends, to make a positive contribution to the South Australian community. Since its inception in 2006, the Employee Foundation has raised $2.1 million through events and fundraising, including $520,000 contributed by employees through payroll donations. It makes a difference to those people whose lives have been significantly impacted and shows them that people in their community care.
