Electric Vehicles (EVs) will allow us to create a cleaner and greener city, especially as more renewable generation sources are connected to the grid
The Adelaide City Council are responsible for delivering hundreds of services and facilities that contribute to building strong and vibrant communities, improve the community’s quality of life and enhance their experiences with the city.
Tesla’s mission statement is “to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy”. To create a sustainable energy ecosystem, Tesla manufactures a range of Electric vehicles and a number of energy generation and storage solutions, including Powerwall and Solar Roof products; enabling homeowners, businesses, and utilities to manage renewable energy generation, storage, and consumption.
Enerven worked in collaboration with Tesla, Mitsubishi, and the Adelaide City Council to install eight fast-charging stations. The project was looking to convert a site previously used for bus parking on Franklin Street to accommodate several Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. This was a flagship project for EV charging stations in Adelaide and was expedited to coincide with Elon Musk’s arrival to Adelaide that year.
Enerven was responsible for the end to end development through to practical completion.
The scope of works included:
The Tesla Superchargers are the fastest charging solution in Australia, providing 270km worth of charge for Model S and Model X vehicles in just 30 minutes. The EV Charging Hub can fully charge a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV in 30 minutes, providing a driving range of 52kms at 100%.
