Enerven has extensive design and construction experience to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) works as part of the community to deliver effective planning policy, efficient transport, and valuable social and economic infrastructure. DPTI manages the planning and land use system for South Australia to grow the economy and create more vibrant places for our communities; and support the effective functioning of Local Government and outback communities, this includes the management a number of arterial roads and highways in Australia.
DPTI invited the Enerven Lighting Solutions group to carry out a road lighting audit of Magill Road as they were upgrading streetlights in the Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide to a new LED Midi Light as part of their Strategic Plan 2016-2020. The new LED light would heavily reduce their carbon footprint as well as create energy consumption savings.
Enerven were tasked with both the design and construction of the lighting project upgrade on Magill Road.
Enerven was responsible for the design and construction of 121 new LED lights, which were installed over approximately 2.5 kilometre stretch along Magill Road from Osmond Terrace to Briant Road. Enerven effectively collaborated with DPTI and their traffic control centre to deliver site works with minimal disruption to traffic flow and minimise any inconvenience to the general public.
Due to the size and nature of this project, the program was divided into three stages; allowing for more detailed scheduling and planning of site works. Work was planned around carefully managed traffic control requirements, including restricted time frames for work to be conducted along the roadway outside of peak periods of traffic flow.
Working with DPTI on the project from the early design stage meant Enerven had a clear view of DPTI’s requirements and completed the program on time and to budget.
