Microgrids

We believe over the next 10 years, microgrids will be the most economical way of supplying energy to residential and business customers.

Utilising our technical, research, and development capabilities, we have prototyped several microgrid concepts, which we feel will be the future of electricity provision to communities. These projects are currently commercial in confidence, with more details to be made public in coming months.

These microgrids typically consist of:

• High penetrations of distributed energy resources (DER) - such as PV solar, batteries, and intelligent appliances
• A "thin" network connection
• "Community Energy Scheme"
• Coordinated energy management systems

There is a significant interest from a range of Australian developers and communities around the transition to energy solutions that provide an element of self-reliance.
